Chipping Manor Dental Practice

Cirencester

We can now confirm that Chipping Manor Dental Practice Ltd is going to be opening a second practice in Cirencester in October 2008. It will be located at 56 Ashcroft Road (next to the Brewery car park). As with the Wotton practice, we will be offering the full range of NHS services to our new patients.

If you would like to express an interest in joining the practice, please email us at enquiries@chippingmanor.co.uk. Or call us on:

01285 641686

We will then send you some medical history forms to fill out, and one of our receptionists will call to make an appointment.

For those who’ve already

An Update…

Thank you for letting us know about your interest in joining our new practice in Cirencester. We hope you’ve managed to download and send back the relevant medical history forms. If you have encountered any problems with this, please don’t hesitate to let me know.

The next step is that one of our receptionists will contact you in September to make an appointment. We have been inundated with people wanting to become a patient at the new practice. We aren’t going to be able to see everyone straight away, so appointments will be made strictly in the same order that forms have been returned to us. This may mean unfortunately that we cannot get an appointment for you until the new year. Over the first year, we are hoping to see around 8,000 new patients.

Work is progressing well on the building at 56 Ashcroft Road, adapting it for our purposes. We will be holding an open day for patients to come in and have a look around the building once it’s done; I’ll send you details nearer the date.

In the meantime we are pleased to announce our clinical team:

Dentists:

Andrew Walker BDS (Bristol 1997)

Since qualifying from Bristol Dental School in 1997, Andrew has gained considerable experience as an associate in both NHS and private practice. This experience is coupled with a reassuring and professional manner and a high standard of clinical care. Having settled in the area three years ago, Andrew is delighted to be joining Chipping Manor’s Cirencester practice.

Andrew is taking on the responsibility of clinical lead for the new practice.

Phil Loughnane BDS DPDS (Manchester 1993, Bristol 1997)

Phil qualified from Manchester in 1993, and gained his Postgraduate Diploma in 1997 from Bristol. He has a preventative approach to dental treatment and tailors treatment to patients’ individual needs. Phil will own the new practice – along with his wife Shaenna. He hopes that the new practice will offer the same quality service that already exists in his award-winning practice in Wotton-Under-Edge

Phil will be sharing his time between Cirencester and our existing practice in Wotton-under-Edge

Mike Farmer BDS (Liverpool 1978)

Mike graduated from Liverpool University in 1978. He has worked in a number of locations in Gloucestershire, including 22 years running his own practice in Cheltenham. His calm, gentle manner creates a relaxing and friendly atmosphere in the surgery.

Jonathan Todd BChD (Leeds 2000)

Jonathan qualified from Leeds University in 2000, and gained a postgraduate diploma in forensic odontology from Cardiff in 2007. He has a conscientious and preventative approach to dental practice, has experience of working overseas and in the oral health department at Frenchay Hospital, Bristol

Therapist:

Kerry Smith

Kerry graduated as a therapist from Sheffield University, where she gained an award for professionalism. She has spent eight years in the dental profession, four of which were spent with the Royal Navy. She is committed to high quality dental care, and believes in putting her patients at ease with her open, approachable patient-focused manner.

Hygienist:

Diana Woodwood

Diana trained and worked in the Navy and has had a wide range of experience, mostly in NHS practices but also in the Community with children, special needs and elderly; hospital, and DHE co-ordinator in Gloucestershire where she worked in schools and clinics. She is a regular contributor to “Dentistry” magazine.
